Seat question

:b  Big Grin

You didn't just come here for helpful comments did you?

I do genuinely think it mirrors the gap between the frame and the tank, does to me anyway.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Haha, it was only a poor effort if the seat was supposed to sit right against the bodywork which in the case of the fazer I don't think it was...

It's a lot more obvious with the grab rail off too.

Chris

Why would you design a gap between seat and tail unit?

i have had a good look at mine today and although my gap is smaller at the bottom - my gap between the seat and tail cowl looks bigger than yours so maybe if you could mount your seat further to the tank it would then drop down a bit, my seat touches the tank.
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

Unless your seat feels loose it ain't an issue.

Seat isn't going anywhere fast. Tried packing the mount to force the seat to sit lower but made no difference. There isn't enough space around the shoulder of the front mount bolts to move the plastics in any direction. Cant use a plain bolt as it would potentially crack the mount point.
Think what I need to do is get the bike back together asap and ride the thing, can't see the gap from there.

Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Paint the bit that you can see under the seat black to match the seat and it wont be so noticeable if it is bothering you
