Pirellis were getting rave reviews a few years back but when I mentioned them to the lad in the shop, he said great but will wear out soon on the motorway. He put me onto the Avon storms which are great for mileage
fire never sleeps
Yeah, I've always thought of Pirellis as more of a sports rather than sports/tourer choice. I'd be interested to know if anyone has got other experience tho', but most of the Pirellis I've seen have been on sports bikes.
I had a set of Pirelli Dragon Evo's on my first Fazer 10 years ago, and they were awesome! They seemed to last forever, and were grippy enough for my skill level and riding style back then. Not too sure about modern Pirelli's. Not tried them.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!
I ride like a nutter (even on 33 brake), but didn't get on well at all with the Maxxis. I felt I couldn't trust their grip (they slipped a lot), squared off too fast, and (I thought) didn't allow for enough lean angle.
The Michelin PR3s I now have, well, that's another story!!
