well got the screws a while back but been waiting for the new lines to come
had a go at getting the original screws out with my impact driver but they just bored out the screw lol,any ideas how to get them out ?

had this happen once and i drilled just the head off the screw and took the cover off. then the shaft of the screw just turned out by hand with the head gone

:agree Done the same. Not difficult as the depression left in the head centres the drill. Obviously stop drilling as soon as the head breaks loose.

great..
drill the head off one and it winds out easily enough drill the head off the other and it snaps flush :'( any ideas? how to get it out? thanks

sometimes if you get a flat head screw driver thats smaller than the shaft of the screw and press down on hard on the screw you can turn it out. if that doesnt work then you might have to use something like an easy out.

the screw just doesn't wanna budge and tried drilling it out but seems it wants to go in to the ali instead of taking the bolt out
anyone got a spare working mc?

I've got a seized MC bolt on my new Fazer. Thanks for the info here, it doesn't look like too bad a job, and I know what screws to get.
Thanks. ![]() |
