Anyone fitted pannier rails to a Fzs600, I've read that the later ones fit with modifications but a lad at work reckons the Fazer thou Gen 1 ones almost fit. Got the chance of a nice 2002 600 but want to do a bit of touring and already have a set of Givi panniers. All info gratefully received.

found me fazer in Sherburn Bike Breakers, they got it for £150 and sold back wheel/swing arm and lock set.

Hello everyone , was looking for a medium size bike for my 17 year old son to have a go at drag racing. He has been sprinting since he was 12 on 50 80 and most recently a 125cc . this was available for nothing having a problem staying in second gear. Got a spare good gearbox with the deal so hope to sort it soon. need to lighten and lower it etc, so the story begins. cant be many fazers racing up the strip! Gary.

A friend has just had his 1999 carb R1 stolen/recovered and it's focced but the motor is ok , he's got the opportunity to buy back what's left from the insurance as it's written off for not much ££ so my question is can the R1 motor fit into a gen 1 without too much fettling as the gen 1 is basically an R1 lump or is it mission impossible.
Whilst I'm not thinking of doing it, if it was possible without a lot of hassle I might make him an offer on the engine and put it away to attempt at a later date

Hi,  I have for sale x2 oil pan plus new pre-installed oil drain bolt.  Also have x1 gasket.

Long story but basically found a stripped thread on my FZ1S 2008 that I have now sold.  Used a helicoil to get by at the time as lead time was long as part came from Japan,  I work abroad for months at a time so when part did arrive it was the wrong colour silver when it should have been grey!  So had to re-order the right colour, by the time that came I had already sold the bike. 

the 2 part numbers are: Cover strainer part number  3C31341710 and 2D11340010.  They were both purchased from Folwers and a cost of £150 each.

Looking for £100 with free postage.
