  Another Paypal scam
Posted by: unfazed - 17-11-16, 12:21 AM - Forum: General - Replies (23)

Anyone else get this scam email which is trying to get your paypal login to do a little buying on your behalf  :eek or more

Looks very authentic, but the paypal site login address in the email is not all it appears because the hidden address behind it is the real address www.sisel.co.in/signin and clicking the link will take you to a very good copy of the paypal login.

Hovering the mouse finger pointer over the signin link in the email and you will see the real address behind it www.sisel.co.in/signin

Using a clever bit html coding it is easy to make the real link appear as something else.

Attached is a copy of the email I received again.

If you see something like this in your inbox it is best deleted.

  Complete lack of start up.
Posted by: DangerNoodle - 16-11-16, 11:14 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (52)

Okay so as much as I hate starting out with a negative post, this is quite important.

I picked up a 2000 Model FZS recently and everything seemed good, It started and ran both before and after transport from Liverpool to my house. The bike stopped running seemingly dye to lack of petrol, as I was putting it away and has since refused to start. So far I have filled the tank to rule out lack of petrol, charged the battery and checked the emergency cut out isn't active but still it won't start.

When I try using the starter there is no noise whatsoever, the only thing that happens is the engine light comes on along with the yellow light next to the fuel gauge. Any ideas will be appreciated!

  Gen 2 adjustable dogbone
Posted by: Rob R - 16-11-16, 11:05 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (6)

After fitting an R1 shock I had to lower the ride height (R1  shock is about 1" longer than the FZ1 shock). I checked fleabay and decided I could make an adjustable linkage myself so I bought  a right & left handed M12 rod end bearing and a length of 19mm stainless hex and this is the result. Total cost £12.50!

  streetfighter or not?
Posted by: caretaker - 16-11-16, 07:01 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

i have this w reg fazer 600 which i hardly use as my versys gets used more. so do i strip a perfectly good standard bike to make a fighter or should i sell it and buy a battered fazer thou? i just fancy a bit of a looney bike to have fun on before i get too old. some fazer 6's are showing up on 'emerging classics' ads now.

Your a biker so use the bike fool!
Posted by: scoobiemandan - 16-11-16, 04:36 PM - Forum: General - Replies (17)

Woke up this morning to head to work and as it was raining decided I'd use the car.  Get to work then it conks out on me, que two hours waiting for RAC whilst trying to juggle work and worrying about the car being sat in a precarious position under a bridge....this was at 5:30am this morning so very dark.

So yeah, the moral of the story is the title of this thread  :rolleyes

  noisy clutch?
Posted by: ogri48 - 15-11-16, 08:10 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

fellers...my clutch is noisier with the lever out than when its in, not a lot, and i know theres bound to be a bit because the plates are disengaged..is it worth whipping the cover off to have a gander this weekend or are they all like that? i thought the biting point was a bit high when i bought it but its fine in use and i was comparing it to my zzr11 at the time which only has 6k on the clock (fazer has 30)
