Pazzo Racing Levers For Sale.
Posted by: FILZ6 - 23-08-17, 08:29 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

I have for sale a pair of Long Pazzo Racing levers.
Taken off my Fazer 1000 Gen 1 when I sold it.
They are in good condition, no damage scuffs or scrapes. Please study the photo's.
They really do help with the long stretch to the standard unadjustable clutch lever.

They will fit other Yamaha models as well as the Fazer as indicated on the box.
The brake lever also fits the FZ6 S2, But you need a different perch for the clutch lever, readily available from Pazzo, or as I have in the past a second hand one off e bay. Happy to help with fixture list if required, just send me a pm.
£80 posted.

Cheers.

  tool for fork rebuild
Posted by: celticdog - 23-08-17, 12:40 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (11)

Unfortunately I've got a leaking seal so it's time to do some maintenance the bank holiday weekend. To loosen the bottom bolt (M8)on the bottom of fork leg, requires holding the inside damper rod- the usual method is to use a broom handle.

Manual refers to Yam tools (90890) but no idea of what it looks like. From memory I think it's a hex. If I knew the size and shape I could weld something onto a long rod and reach down there.

Has anyone made similar or have any ideas with size and shape help?

  Bluetooth Headsets?
Posted by: Bretty - 23-08-17, 10:17 AM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

I see that this topic hasn't come up for a while.

I was considering getting a sub-£100 Bluetooth headset for my helmet. Prompted recently by an upcoming tour with a mate.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Am I right in my understanding that the intercom function does not work universally between different branded headsets? So to speak/connect to my mate I'll need to have an intercom of the same make?

Thanks,

Brett

Error code 46 - check engine light comes on
Posted by: carcrusher - 22-08-17, 11:03 PM - Forum: FZ6 / FZ6 Fazer - Replies (3)

I have a 2007 FZ6 S2, weirdly my bike seems to be running fine, but while riding around town (30mph, around 4k rpm and a lot of stop and go) after about 20-25min my check engine light comes on.
I checked the error codes by going into diagnostics mode and error 46 comes up. The service manual says "Symptom: Power supply to the FI system is not normal. Probable cause of malfunction: Malfunction in CHARGING SYSTEM."
I checked the battery and it seems to be fine, with the engine turned off it shows around 13.5v, when I start the engine it drops to around 12v and then it comes back up and when accelerating it goes up to around 14.5v
I checked the stator coil resistance and it's withing the specified range 0,23 - 0.32 Ohm
I replaced the fuse for the FI system and also cleaned all of the other fuses.
I don't know what else I could check, anyone else encountered something like this? I googled this error but all the info I found doesn't really apply to me since my bike seems to be running fine.

Removed / replaced front wheel, now speedo etc not working - help???
Posted by: Jrebera - 22-08-17, 06:25 AM - Forum: General - Replies (5)

Hey peeps, I changed tyre on front wheel myself (Whoop!), but now my speedo isn't working. I tried to line the drive gear up - but no success. I did notice the cable has a kink - could that be the problem? Any suggestions? Thanks peeps

  1998 fazer 600
Posted by: Waterhouse - 21-08-17, 09:15 PM - Forum: General - Replies (23)

Hello all I'm new to the forum. I have my mod 2 test coming up soon and am thinking of a fazer 600. I've seen one I like locally. It's the 1998 600 in red I'm just wondering what kind of price I should be looking at. It says it's only 1700 miles and been sat for 16 years new battery and starts and runs fine. Will it need coolant oil tyres fork seals or anything else changing ? As I say fairly new to biking and fazers. So all advice welcomeThanks.

Just a heads up for anyone that uses The Ranch caff at Wingham, it's now closed down as of last Wednesday. Apparently the landowner is going to develop the site for housing. Back in the day this was Wingham railway station........another one bites the dust.
