2002 Foxeye for sale
Posted by: MissB - 12-11-17, 11:01 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

It pains me but I have decided to sell my bike, which I have had from new, much loved but just not used now. Don't get me wrong she has been well used with just under 64k on the clock.
She is blue, has a hugger and double bubble screen, aftermarket indicators. Aftermarket exhaust system with a delkevic end can. Scotoiler and braided front hoses.
Within the past two years she had the camchain replaced, good tyres, chain may need doing soon but MOT until end of April, pretty much full service history with all MOT certs, receipts etc
She has some cosmetic damage, as in a few scratches etc (diesel spill a couple of years ago, but the crashbungs did the job and prevented lots of damage)
In the past couple of years she has maybe done 600 miles.
I think I have lost my mojo for the bike, moved to a different area and its just all faded away...rather than having her sat in the garage I'd rather have someone use her.
Happy to send pictures once I have dusted her off. No offers £1,200
Please PM if you are interested

  glove sizes!!!
Posted by: johnakay - 11-11-17, 07:57 PM - Forum: General - Replies (25)

why is it that you can never get what you want/need. just bought a pr of winter gloves size 4xl and they fit the same as a 2xl.I've got 3 gloves 1 ,2xl by Richa and 2 at 3xl and believe it or not the 2xl is slightly larger than the 3xl. the 4xl feels the same size as 2xl.wtf is going on .having gloves that are bigger than your hands help to keep your fingers warm without having to resort to heated gloves etc.with having gloves bigger help in keeping the wind off your finger and help blood circulation. I had a pr years ago and they were brilliant. but these days sizes are all over the place.grrrrrrrrr

  Site problems?

Is anyone else having issues? Seems to be on the go slow and occasionally getting '508 resource limit reached' error screen?

  Exup, some strange black magic?
Posted by: nordboy - 10-11-17, 04:52 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (6)

I've replaced the exup cables, as I found one had snapped. 2002 Fazer thou, 42k miles.

I've been trying to adjust them for ages now, and I just can't get it right. It won't centre after running. I lined the cable holder bit up with the hole and adjusted the cables (the lower cable is maxxed out pretty much), but then when I run it, then turn it off, the cable holder bit stays at about the 10 o'clock position. Every time!!

The rev counter doesn't move at all when I put the ignition light on. The bike runs and I don't notice any running issues, I'm just not sure that it's running at it's optimum level?

I'm pretty confused and not sure what else to do apart from maybe send it to my local dealer.

If you see any "PLEASE UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT TO ENABLE 3RD PARTY HOSTING" from photobucket, try this:copied from another forum seems to worki all, just read this on another forum and wanted to share it here as pictures are so important to sharing info about our hobby. I just copied the post so here it is and it seems to work with firefox for me.Fix for seeing Photobucket picsPostby yavapaigunworks » Tue Oct 10, 2017 11:13 pmIf you're using Google Chrome, go to the three dots on the right side of the screen and click them. A drop down should appear. Hover your mouse over "More Tools," and when the next drop down appears, click on extensions. Go to the link towards the bottom that says "Get more extensions." In the search box, type "Photobucket Fix," and hit enter. Click the install button and once it's done, you should be able to see photobucket pictures again. For FireFox users, click on the three bars on the right side of the screen, then click on add ons. Click search for "photobucket hotlink" and click install. Same result.

I have rubbed off some of the lovely patina to reveal the paint finish underneath.  Good condition as you would expect.  Tyre can be removed as it is knackered and will only make postage more...
