Wondering if anyone can shed a light on vibration from my left footpeg. In fact I am experiencing a some vibrations through the handle bars as well. It is pretty annoying as these vibrations is causing nuts to come loose and I have recently lost my tax disc holder and now checking all nuts and bolts fater each ride out

havent had my bike started for quite some time ! the end of april I think !
I got a new battery a few weeks err months or more ago and fitted it this morning !
suprised as its quite a bit smaller than the last one , I thought oh dear here we go ! but it fitted fine !
Then ! the start button alarm bleeped then bleeped off ! hit the button and nothing dead ! OOps still in gear ! slap ! turning it over a few times very quickly with no choke and no risk of firing !
Choke out and bang ! away it went fantastic ! then the rev counter started on the old exup warning !!! 7K
oh dear ! still rode to work still giving the 7K
just nipped out to do it ! cover off wobbled the pully and started it again ! RESULT the 7K cleared !
now for a clean tyre pressures and oil check !
oh bugger got to get my tax as well !

Hi All,
Had new tyres fitted a couple of weeks ago and since then something didn't feel right on the front end, bike felt as though it wanted to go right and brakes felt a little off. Decided that instead of taking it back to the garage I would instead learn about the bike and check it over myself. I found the following.
Front right shock was 2mm higher in the top clamp than it was before
Brakes binding more on the front than previously
Rear wheel alignment and chain tension was off
Handle bars are slightly to the right when traveling in a straight line on a flat road.
Quick check on the internet and a visit to halfords for torque wrenches, sockets, spanners etc etc and i'm ready to go.
Slackened off the shock hex bolts, two top and two bottom (just enough to hold but also adjust), reset the shock to the correct depth. Nipped hex bolts up.
Undid the bottom fork pinch bolt that holds the front right shock to the main shaft, bounced the front end up and down a few times, tightened back up and spun front wheel, now have a good few rotations before wheel stops.
Reset rear wheel alignment and chain tension.
Test ride - Feels 100% better with even braking and no pull to the right, just need to adjust handle bars ever so slightly to square them up.
Overall am happy with the work I have done and feel that it's safe, one question thought, can't find the torque settings for the 4 hex bolts that hold the front suspension. The 2 top bolts on the bars and the 2 lower on the cast section below the front fairing, thing the top are 6mm? and the bottom 8mm? Can anyone help me with these please.
Many thanks,
Steve.

Hi all, been lurking on this forum for ages (since the old forum days too!) finally got myself registered.
Owned my 2001 FZS600 for around 7 years now. I don't get out on it often enough really but it's sat here happily enough waiting for it's next adventure!

Hi, are there any audio-techies (not sure thats a word) out there? I have an old Denon UCD-90 CD player that has stopped reading the discs. It will initially spin up but cannot read or display any info. I have tried lens cleaning but no change. Any-one have any ideas/answers and if it is economical to fix (Richer Sounds do a similar player for £100). Any info very much appreciated. Ta.
