On my ride to work at 0500 this morning and it was minus 5 and seemed like a good time to try my new Keis heated under gloves. I must say they kept my hand bearable, not to hot but after unplugging them the chill was noticeable within a a mile or so. The only gripe is lack of feel. Heyho! No gloves no feeling, with gloves no feel?

Does anyone here use these and can recommend a good make. There's a few to choose from, with reviews both good and bad. Bad reviews are mostly poor sound quality, bad connections or noisy spools.

It's just going to get used it the car.

  Brooks Barn Covers

Has anybody used one of these? Looking for something to keep the dust and other crap off the bike through winter (in the garage), so not fussed about it being waterproof (probably better if it isn't?)

  Which fork oil?
Posted by: darrsi - 06-12-12, 08:11 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (14)

I've been getting a slightly unnerving feeling through my steering for a while, which i can only describe as similar to having a tyre with low pressure.
The thing is the tyre pressure is okay (36f-42r), and the tyre's only a few months old, so i reckon it's going to be something to do with the fork oil.
There's no leaks or anything but i can't really think of any other explanation?
It's mainly noticeable at low speeds too.
My question though is what are your views on 15w fork oil, rather than the recommended 10w?
Is there any major difference in feel?
My forks are just standard one's with no mods or anything, in fact they're older than my bike, without the adjusters on top.
Any comments appreciated as always.

Thanks, Darren.

  Old cans
Posted by: Looney tune - 06-12-12, 06:24 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

Started to take the old barn next to our house down today to be converted into our new house, huurrrraaayyyyy ! After stripping the tiles off the roof then the sarking, low and behold, a huge pile of old tin cans. So I just had to have a rummage, lots of old tinned food that took me back to the eighties. Then deeper in, bingo, Tennants lager with the models on the back, harp lager, McEwans export , Piper pale ale, Topdeck shandy and Maid Marion mixers and old coke cans. Dark now so will get a better look tomorrow.
Might put the good ones on a shelf in the bosses new hotel bar  Smile
