Replacement mirrors
Posted by: fazermike - 21-01-13, 09:43 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (21)

Hi,

I love the look of my blue gen1 Fazer but I have never been a fan of those "bug like" mirrors they look like an after thought! imho

So I have been thinking about replacing them........

I have seen some pics of handle bar mounted mirrors, with the fairing ones removed and blanked off but not too sure about that  :rolleyes

I would prefer to fit some fairing mounted replacement mirrors which look similar to the Fazer 600 ones which look more like they belong to the bike.

Any ideas?

Thanks.  Smile

Font advice, oh font of all knowledge.
Posted by: Aegis Bearing Mel - 21-01-13, 08:47 PM - Forum: General - Replies (10)

Evening Foccers, despite the pun I'm serious when I ask "Which font?".

I've used comic sans since 2000 as a lot of stuff I type is for the bairns in work so set that to the default font to save pissing about, it scores highly on readability for those that have dyslexic traits.

However, looking to get my CV updated and would like something a wee bit classier than the windae licker font...

Ideally I'd like summat a wee but different to Ariel or Times, although they do appear to be favourites amongst those I've asked already.

So suggestions please, which fonts do you guys use for professional type documents?

Cheers.
Aegis.

  What is this Rack!?
Posted by: dannymassive - 21-01-13, 08:34 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (11)

I'm looking to sell my rear rack that I have now removed, but after trawling through the forum and google images I am yet to find the name of this type of rack nor the manufacturer. Without this information I don't know what to list it as! Any help appreciated!

Kent Firebike Rider Skills Day Brands Hatch 2013
Posted by: Grandma - 21-01-13, 07:58 AM - Forum: Events, Meets, Ride outs etc - Replies (1)

Ride Skills Day at Brands Hatch. What's this about?Simply put it is a 'taster' day for a number of different experiences, run at this World famous circuit by us, The Kent Fire & Rescue Service, the Fire Bike Team with assistance from The IAM, RoSPA and MSV (Motor Sport Vision). It is about offering Bikers the chance to experience differing aspects of biking that are all geared to make them safer/ more accomplished Riders on the road! There are 5 elements covered on the day: Basic First Aid for Bikers, Advanced Motorcycling Theory input, Slow speed control session, Observed Rides (tasters) with IAM and RoSPA Observers and 2 track sessions (novice level). All in one day and all for 50 quid!
It is NOT really for 'track day demons' or Advanced Standard riders, it is aimed at those who have never been on a track, who have never had advanced input or been a member of an Advanced group, we can and will cater for newer riders and the more nervous or those who just want to experience some of the above. Having said that if you are a bit of 'sporty' rider on the road and like speed then maybe you should also get yourself on the waiting list becasue we may be able to help you with some enlightenment!
I need to gauge interest for our first planned day which is to be in mid-April, we are then looking at further dates in June and July. If you would like to get your name down on the list and recieve more info please contact me directly on:
