Hi
Recently took rear wheel out in the process of replacing front/rear sprocket (up 2 teeth) and disc on 98 FZS600. Went to refit wheel (not having changed front sprocket to smaller size) and, with the larger sprocket, standard chain at it's limit. Was replacing front sprocket too and now have the slack I need but at the time rear axle was tight to get back through so admit to a few taps of encouragement with a soft mallet to get it back through the wheel.
Now find that the rear axle seems to not rotate freely, it seems to snag/catch about every sixth of a rotation. Initially looked for binding chain but no. With rear brake caliper removed it still does it so not that. Makes no difference if axle nut torqued up or not. Might have always been like it.
Been away for a few days-came home & put battery on charge. Once fully charged with ignition on all lights up OK but there is VERY SLIGHT click from fuel pump relay & NO CLICKING WHATSOEVER from fuel pump which it always has done up til now. Dont have meter to test these components so was thinking of taking suspect items to dealer for them to test. Plugs remain dry & bike cranks and turns over but absolutely refuses to start so I suspect lack of fuel.
I did take relevant connectors apart-no damp or corrosion present-Anyone else had this happen?
Hi Popped in to say hello to the fazer family. Rosie born in 2003 and here today in 2013. The day I bought her: [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img]

Right ho folks, Farjo and I have been working our way through our wee "to do" list and have reached the merchandise entry.
Once upon a time on a message board far, far away there were a group of bikers that had stickers, t-shirts, calling cards and regular meets that called themselves Foccers.
Time (and hair/waist lines) have moved and so it's time we let the world know who we are once again.
Old Mother Foccer has been quietly printing t-shirts for a while, be nice if we can send a bit more business her way.
The plan is to get a range of stuff together and make it available to those that want it.
Our initial thoughts are to get the calling cards sorted to leave on Fazers at meets, a sticker or two for fairings/lids and then a few hoodies and t shirts.
I've been in touch with the Man from Del Yammy, and he had a couple of things to say about copyright things.
Yamaha UK have no issue with us using their logo on the site or calling cards etc but, and I quote from the email;
"I can confirm that you can use the Yamaha logo (in its correct form) on
your website. The fact that your header states 'unofficial', does not mean
that you should have to use a created , music or otherwise horrible Yamaha
logo. You have authority to do this (I have attached two such styles).
You can use the logo on your sticker but it's best to leave the merchandise
alone. This is a non-grey area were we don't authorise use for clothing.
The calling card is also no problem."
I've spoken to a printer up here with the idea of calling cards getting printed onto small fridge magnets for tanks as well as laminated card for fairings.
He says we need the images at least 300dpi if the resolution is to work when printed.
So, I've attached my first ideas for the calling cards, be nice if we can get a few designs together from you lot and then run a wee vote to see which one(s) we should go for.
First one has the forum logo on the front with one of the two printed texts on the reverse, the blank before "would like to..." is so you can pop on your screen name.
The second just has Frankenfazer on the front leaving the reverse to be written/printed on by yourselves.
Let's see what you creative types can come up with!
Hi to all, obviously new on here, im looking at getting a Fazer 1000 g1, and from looking on sites theres a big difference in prices, so could anyone enlighten me on say an 04 05 plate fzs1000 price? looking for a lowish milage and good nick.
Blimey the forum has changed again.... go for a year or two and everything changes....
As some of you know I've been around for about 11 years... initially as a Hornet owning wannabe Foccer and then later I had a 2007 FZ1-N (great bike).
I now have a 2009 CB1000R but want something with a bit of wind protection for motorway use and a bit of european touring this year.
Now I know all about the FZ1 and found it super powerful but also very revvy, alot of the power was lost until you go in the higher revs. How does the Fazer 800 compare engine wise? I'm also about 6' tall, is the screen very effective on motorways.
Any moans, groans or issues, I've not really followed the Fazer 8 so I have no idea how it stands up against the competition.
If the worlds brightest can't figure out why we exist then what chance do I have ? Also.... how is me watching Monty Python and the holy grail going to help ?
how about that for a counterpoint of non-spiritual atheist perspective and random meaninglessness ?
