Hi Peep's,

Is this decent enough stuff for a bike service?

If not, what is the best stuff for a very limited budget and is there anything else I maybe missing?

Guys, the numpty that had the Fazer before me has replaced one of the chain adjust bolts with a short stud and feels like it has been glued or loctite in place, it wont budge so looks like the arm has to come out to get fixed. (running out of adjustment) its that bad a bodge. Is it the typical swingarm to get out? Not a huge amount of room to work with, i did try the 2 nut trick to slacken it with no joy, any one had any similar issues with previous owners bodge jobs? Oh also not a bit of grease anywhere on the back end either!! Why do some people miss the easiest things! Grrrrrrr

  Fazer Rear left indicator
Posted by: catto01 - 21-06-13, 09:57 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

HI Peeps,

I have just bought a Yamaha Fazer 600 52 plate last week and all was fine but my rear left indicator went last night. Now I have changed the bulbs and tested it again but still not luck. Does anyone have a rough idea what maybe wrong?

I guess it is wiring somewhere but don't have a clue where to start. Every other indicator works fine bar the left rear. Now I did stall the bike and very quickly started it and then I noticed the indicator was blown. I am not sure if it had just gone prior to that or not.

Now I have looked at the wiring diagrams but got lost straight away. Any help would be appreciated.

ALSO - does anyone have the 2002 Haynes Fazer manual on PDF? as I need to service the bike anyway.

Regards,

G

  Pull-away snatchyness
Posted by: Yamazer-92 - 20-06-13, 09:22 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Hello again, another quick thing that's bugging me is since I have had the bike it has been a bit of a bugger when pulling away. It used to drop the revs a lot but cleaning out the air box and putting in a new air filter (k&n) has sorted that. It also does this thing where it sort of snatches a bit, but I'm not sure if it's the clutch or what? I have adjusted the cable several times and removed completely to lube and it feels great except for when I pull away. It actually feels like it's something to do with the chain / sprockets or near the front sprocket cover where the clutch cable goes .They're fairly new though and adjusted correctly. Is there something I'm missing or is it just a characteristic of the bike? If not I would really like to fix it as each little problem I sort is making it better and better and I'm almost there now. Cheers.

painting the matt black bits :)
Posted by: Enceladus - 20-06-13, 08:53 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (5)

was getting fed up with the black plastic bits on my bike not matching the rest of the gloss black bike, so i broke out the aerosol cans and had a go.
not a proffesional job, but looks better than the matt black ones.
primer, 3 coats of black gloss, 4 coats of clear gloss top coat.
thoughts ?
