Has anyone tried out any kind of seat padding for long journeys? Got back from the Welsh national rally and saw various extra padding ranging from what looked like a sheet bungeed on to gel/air pads, did a lot of miles and it was getting uncomfortable by the end. I'm heading on a long French trip in July and thought about some extra padding.

Any thoughts?

if so what was the outcome ? I am absolutely in love with my new to me fz1n but could do with the front peg,s a tad lower ,in the past Ive made billet frame plates up to enable the pegs to be moved down but the fz1 looks so bloody good I dont want anything looking a bit heath robinson

I have a bike i actually enjoying riding an 02 Fazer thou i have had her nearly a year now and she has 60k on the clock but she has been riding so well i have really gone to town on it since ive had her new chain & sprokets, both tyres, battery, centre stand, fork seals, carbs balanced, serviced, new ignition, clutch, wheels powder coated & belly pan just whats bin done so far, I really thought id got it sorted but now a new problem has raised its head when i start it up in the morn my rev counter shoots to 7k back to 0 it does it a few times then stops and is ok, ive checked on the forum and everything seems to point to the exup valve, but nothing about it doing it now and again just permantly So i checked the valve on the exhaust and it moves free and is well lubricated so i dont think its the actual valve so just wondered what else could it be, I am mechanically minded so if its not too big a job id attempt myself,
Any advice would be appreciated

selling my fzs 1000 mot december tax march 15 20,000 miles daytona heated grips, hugger , new chain and sprockets last july ivanized by mike last june £2300 located m29       

I purchased a new screen and on removing the old screen I have found that the previous owner has ruined the head of three of the screws. Anyone know what size they are as I need to try and replace them so I can use the bike.

Thinking about swapping my Akrapovic slip on for another brand, a much shorter stubby GP style end can, it may be a tad stupid a question but as I'm not that hot on fueling and fine fettling of carbs and jets etc, will it foul the settings that have been made to accommodate the Akrapovic?

I fancy making and underneath exaust,not a new idea i know, but i rekon i can get enough box and heatproofing under there as i have no center stand, then a small exit pipe or maybe a line of two or 3 or 4  chrome mini exit pipes in a line.


not as big a can as this , maybe just exit pipes, if not then a moto gp style pipe like this

Just bought my first Fazer and hoping to take it on a trip to Scotland in a couple of weeks with luggage. If anyone has (or knows anyone who has) the appropriate wingrack (and fitting kit) and wishes to sell it then please give me a shout. Thank you in anticipation.

Recently bought an fz1n and Im wanting to bling her up a bit ,not into shiney stuff or anodised bolts etc but I do like carbon ,Ive seen pics of fz1's with carbon rad shrouds,side panels etc but cant find anything on the net ,do any of you guys know of anywhere they can be bought ,thanks in advance peeps
