Kinked fuel line
Posted by: Bikebud - 06-02-22, 06:12 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (2)

Hi, I have a kinked fuel line and I want to replace the hose while using the existing connectors (I don't want to get another OEM fuel line as the quality is rubbish and it kinks easily).
Can anyone recommend a good quality 6 x 12 mm fuel hose that I can get here in the UK?

  Carole Nash Select Rider Policy
Posted by: robbo - 04-02-22, 02:28 PM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

Just a heads up as I was not aware of this particular policy, which isn’t accessible online. (Phone no. 03339993022).The normal CN multi bike policy includes breakdown and legal protection etc. With the Select one, these are only added at your discretion. As my travel and breakdown are covered by my bank, this Select policy is ideal and has just saved me almost £200 on my CN renewal :thumbup …….. however in the bigger scheme of things, that’s 200 quid towards the next gas bill. :'(

  fzs 600 boxeye for sale
Posted by: baldy - 30-01-22, 10:07 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (2)

Thought I'd try this on here as I had a fazer 1000 of here and that went well. I have for sale my year 2000 fzs 600 box eye. Its gold and has many useful mods, I have owned it for five years and has been altered for use in motogymkana competition (look it up ont net, its the best fun you can have on two wheels) It has renthal fat bars, folding brake levers, k tech fork internals, moto gymkhana crash bars cost a fortune from Japan, footrest risers for ground clearance, nitron rear shock, fazer 1000 rear brake mod, higher gearing for acceleration, michelin power cup tyres, serviced by me, new rear brake pads oil and filter.
Covered 22,250 miles total, only covered 1000 miles in five years. Condition. mechanically spot on ride really well, body panels all have scuffs but all intact and solid, nearside mirror missing, mot expired but I am prepared to do this if asking price is achieved or discount the price if you prefer, only done 200 miles since the last one.
All parts included to return to standard, road useable, a bit of a sleeper accelerates incredibly quickly but looks standard

I would like £1150 for it. I have a van and can deliver for the price of fuel if your fairly local to Halesowen, west midlands.

No idea how to load pics on here. I can whatsapp pics to genuinely interested parties..

Regard, Ian

  Bonjour foccers !
Posted by: GuiltyOfReason - 29-01-22, 01:29 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (4)

Hi all ! I'm very happy to be a foccer

presentations : I'm Max, 25, live in the center of France in a rural area and I just bought a 2001 FZS600 with 50k kms on it. My bike is my only means of transport, so she has to run nice

I bought the bike for 1000 euro which I thought was cheap enough considering it is a tidy specimen overall, I was able to knock the price down from 1300 because the plastic T piece which links the main fuel line to the center of the carbs was busted. Ordered the parts from yamaha, stuck them in and she fired up. While the carbs were out I cleaned the jets with compressed air, then she got oil and coolant change and I took her for a test ride, she goes nice Smile

Next on the list is chain and sprockets, afam, stock size for both sprockets, I have the parts now just waiting on a delivery of loctite 270 for that front sprocket nut as per gnasher's recommendation. A carb balance would be really nice thing do do next but I need to buy or find someone near me with the balancing kit. Once everything is running as I want it, I'll be able to start thinking about mods

I'm into doing all the work on the bike myself so this forum already is a gold mine in that respect and I'm happy to be able to join in the discussion now

Safe and happy riding✌️

Gen 1 LED Running light question
Posted by: Fazerjon - 28-01-22, 09:39 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (5)

Hi people, I’m planning on installing 2 10watt LED running lights to my Gen 1 thou. I’ve read various threads on the forum regarding wiring. Some use a relay and a switch and some go straight from the battery. I’m wondering if I splice into my headlight dipped beam wire with both spotlights and then earth, (doing away with the need for a switch or relay) will I need to uprate the fuse for the lighting circuit? They are only 10w LED’s and although very bright I don’t think they draw much current.
