Hi all, I've recently put on a ohlins rear shock, anybody know how many clicks rebound and compression should be as a starting point?
Cheers

Gen 1 or Gen II?

Your weight?  Solo or two-up, mostly?

The spring rate of the shock.  Is it standard (0.85) or something stiffer/softer?

Welcome, BTW :)

did you get the shock with the remote preload adjuster? pretty sure i've got the manual for it and will ping it over if you like (it's on Ohlins' website though I think...)

Check the Ohlins website I'm sure they have set up info for all the bikes they cover.
Jim.

It's a Gen1 with out remote preload , I've changed the spring to match my weight, just wanted base settings to save me clicking adjusters for weeks

Mine's got the remote reservoir and preload so not the same model.  Sorry, can't help with base settings for yours.

May be able to help me out though Mike (again)     13.5 stone rider with kit, standard spring, mainly solo, occasional pillion, occasional luggage. :)

Will need to check the spec sheet K-tech supplied me when I bought the shock from them.  Have no idea where mine is actually set now after a few tweaks, though.  Not more than 2 - 3 clicks off the baseline, I suspect.

I'm always solo riding and lighter than you by a stone in riding gear.

I'll get back to you soon. :)
