Help please
I need a touch more height so thinking jack up kit
can they be replaced as in one pair off new ones on or will suspension compress/extend ???really don't want to get into silly problems
I once removed crash bars to paint off a BMW GS only to find they would not go back on because the bolts where holding the engine up had to jack the engine up bit of a panick at the time
thanks in advance

So long as the bike's on the centrestand you shouldn't have a problem. Jam a wedge of wood under the back wheel to take its weight as you get the dogbone bolts out, then ease it down a bit to get the new ones to line up with the holes.

Try Fazbaz on here, I know he used to fabricate them to order.
Alternatively this lot:
http://www.projection-components.co.uk/quad-length-jack-up-links-select-model-18-p.asp
do a clever version that offers a choice of lengths.
Yes, it will have an effect on handling because the forks will be at a slightly steeper angle. If you find it too twitchy (quite likely if you go for more than a 25mm increase) then increase the front fork preload or fit stiffer springs to compensate. Might be worth doing that anyway if you're on the heavy side.
