Fitted my new exhaust but had a bit left over. Any owners know what this bit is for?

yep,me too........tail tidy / number plate bracket.....not sure why you have it with the exhaust though....offer it up and see what it looks like

Ah, that's the bit you have to install first before anything else and if you forget it you have to take it all off and start again

Looks like a plate for the exhaust mounting bands to bolt onto.

Tail tidy or oem plastic plate holder to subframe.
Easier before pipes. Apparently.

Is it a bracket to go in place of the rear footpeg, in case you want to lose it?
