Just made a deal for a YZF front end

Hopefully with swapping out the steering stem for the fazer one it will be a hassle free fit
But before it gets on I think I'll swap out fork seals

Any idea if the fzs calliper will fit onto yzf for legs?

not sure about the calipers, I'd assume probably not.

Have you got a solution for the speedo?

Depends on the wheel, luckily for mine it was simples, just had to file down the plastic pins from the sensor to fit flush with the Thundercat wheel!

As for the calipers not sure if you've got an R1 or R6 front end or what year, early ones are the same I believe.
I hope it's the entire front end (wheel, fender etc)
If not the fazer wheel and calipers will need spacing out!
Don't be surprised if the steering lock stops don't hit, and chances are the controls will hit the fairing before they did anyway- this isn't an issue, just reduces the turning circle, not only that but if using the clip on bars there may be the opposite issue of clearance against the tank.
You can keep the fazer handlebars but will obviously need to drill out the top yoke before fitting!
If you got it for the right price it's a good upgrade, have a day ready to go through it all

Speedo solution is to replace the dials for a digital one
This will also be a smaller unit to fit behind the headlamp mask

I have taken my inspiration from this bike

Looks like the forks stick out of the top yoke due to the difference of lengths on the stem/neck

Yeah they will stick out, this in turn can affect the angle of the standard bars!
Measure both forks and this will give you the length to have,the new ones coming out the top yoke to keep standard height

Hmmm.... How easy would something like that be to fit? Both my speedo and tacho are up the swanny so something like this might be the answer for me too. Only problem is I have clip ons so mounting it might be tricky.

That pic with the USD forks looks the business

Pix of the front end I'm picking up tomorrow

I have ordered a fork seal kit as I want to refer them before I put them on
Also going to get a brake caliper referb kit and make sure it's all working and safe before assembly

I think the calipers fit the forks as I recall the blue spots are a popular upgrade with YZF owners

I would have thought that 6 pot calipers would be better than the fazer 4 pots?
Please correct me if I'm wrong as I want to only work on it the once lol

4 pot blue spots will be superior matey, more pots do not necessarily equal better braking.

Correct, on my SRAD750 6 pots were standard and they were shockingly shite, swapped for the 600 4 pots as did every other owner!

Ok first update

The stem from the fzs600 is 30mm where it goes into the yoke

The yzf750 hole for a stem is ?????

I think we have a winner

I also have found a machine shop with a press that can take out the stem and refit it

They also will mill out the caliper carrier so I can for the fzs600 blue dots

Just a little update
I've managed to score a used pair of blue dot calipers
So next week I'll be getting the stems swapped and the calipers carriers milled
