I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to know more about this.

Any more details on the type of bulbs?  Any pictures showing how they are installed?

Yep, bit more detail please, you have my attention!

hi i have made it very clear and fitting is as easy as changing a bulb.

I beg to differ, all you've done is show a picture of a beam of light.
This is a forum designed to give people detailed help, and although you've taken the time to show us the end result, most people, especially ones very new to biking or with zero or very minimal hands on experience would've preferred to see some photo's of the fitment instead, but you seem to be avoiding questions by giving daft answers.  :wall

Well here's a possible way to make Evolution wonder why why he/she bothered.

I know i didn't exactly mince my words but we weren't really getting anywhere, so i thought maybe it's time to get straight to the point.
Even that didn't work though did it?  :rolleyes

I hope evolution is still around. Sounds like he could contribute a lot.

got bored when the fighting started, BUT interested in the mod.

What is the beam pattern like (i.e. what shape is the light beam if pointed at a wall)? Reason for asking is to see if this would pass the MOT.

We don't know, the modder has gone leaving sparse details about the mod itself.

...and he was verbally abusive in return, that was one of the posts that I cut.

Is it a question of measuring the hole(s) and asking BMW what bulbs they have that fit? If there's a problem with temp then are there other main bulbs available that give off less heat?

This mod is interesting and all, but since we lack more information I would say it's unlikely that a pair of LED bulbs are going to make a huge difference. As running lights they might be great but I don't think the headlight beam can be "transformed" in this way.

I have a pair of these LED lights mounted on my bike and they are fantastic, but are substantial standalone units.

I wondered why you stepped in when you did?
Did i give him a hard time? That's certainly debatable, but it was like trying to get blood out of a stone.
And the most annoying thing is that it probably IS the easiest mod going, but his social skills haven't allowed us to really find out 100%, which is a bit of a shame really.

Lol

that link is focced for some reason? It takes you to a totally different page despite being typed correctly.

Here it is again:

Anyway, you could have cut & pasted the link instead of just clicking it, even a child could have worked that out  ;) :lol

Fuzzy, consider yourself fully redeemed  :)   :thumbup .
I've just watched the vidio for those lights and must say they look amazing. On my box eye I always feel a bit like Cinderella and mustn't stay out too late, but with good lights I could eliminate my fear of the dark  8) .
Would you care to pass an opinion on which might be best for mainly out of built up areas type riding, 1) a pair of spots, 2) a pair of floods, or 3) one of each?

Before you get too excited, they are only useful on totally deserted roads because they are so powerful. When they are switched on, you can only just tell if the headlights are on or off, that's how bright they are. Good or bad thing depending on how you want to use them.

I did a fair bit of research and went with a pair of spots. They work like a high beam and are best at throwing a lot of light down the road. I used them when riding in the alps at night and on unlit country roads here in the UK and that's the environment in which they really shine.

Easy to fit. I mounted them on my crash bars. Had them on for about 2yrs now and been 100% reliable.
