2003 foxeye 600 bare frame.

I bought this as a rolling frame/chassis back in may with ideas of building a streetfighter.

The bloke I bought this off had purchased it from Copart (Salvage) because he wanted the enging, electrics & controlls for a Quad project and it had very little milage on it.
Yes I saw the project so he wasn't bullsh!ting.
Unfortunatly I didn't get the v5 as he couldn't find it, but he gave me the reg number which he got by looking on his purchase history on Copart, & assured me there wouldn't be a problem applying for new v5, So I saved the reg as a note on my phone & I lost all data on my phone a few months back so can't give you the reg (Sorry)

Anyways I was going to use the forks on my bike but found they were slightly bent after stripping them to re-seal them & I gave up on her.
Sold a couple of bits here & there but now really can't be bothered.

So if anyone wants a frame they can have it for £20 but its colection only - from NE659SX (Hadston which is a few miles south of Amble on the Northumberland coast)

Think next time the covers off i'll pull the seals out & get some measurements instead of guessing.

28
Ok this might be a crap idea but if you don't try, I guess you don't know

I'm thinking of replacing the seals for the shift shaft on my sprocket cover with sealed roller bearings that I used to use in radio control cars.
Was just thinking it might give the shaft a little extra stability  ;)

Has anyone else tried this ?

Your health is more important & that's something I've had to deal with myself   :(  , don't stress yourself over a bulb holder.

Cheers Sinto,

I had wired up a couple of led's under the fairing, wired them using the side light wires but when the low or high beam is on the led's dim down to a light glow !
I managed to loose the side light fitting and I just wanted a replacement to wire back to standard encase the Mot testers in a bad mood.
How have you got that light wired in ?

Thanks for the replies :) .

I'll give the connectors a wee clean then tape them up as I don't want to find myself stranded out in the middle of nowhere.

« on: 25 July 2015, 09:24:28 am »
Just wondering what these wires are for that are under my seat on the left side.

Fused line goes up to the connector compartment under the tank but isn't connected to anything !
Plug with single wire not connected to anything.
Plug with 2 wires has been bridged.
Plug with 4 wires 2 of them bridged.

cheers.

Yea I agree that its a bit much with the word Fazer there.
However I do like the black stripe which brakes up the all over blue of the plastics.

General / Re: what did you do with your fazer today ?
« on: 24 December 2014, 09:33:46 pm »
Two things
It looks like a pram without the engine---------- and
The engine looks good silver

Mmmm
Hadn't thought about doing the eng silver.
Left casing was full of bodge, as I found out when I started to strip the paint back so needs replaced & I've already bought black paint but I'll keep the silver in mind for future.

I love my Delkevic zorst,
Baffle in or out I wouldn't say its obnoxious, however crack the throttle open & it sounds great.

When you say scuffed do you mean scuffed paintwork or deeper ?
