Bought 2002 FZS 1000 Fazer

I’ve recently bought a FZS Fazer 1000 with 2658 genuine miles. It’s been in a kitchen for the last 12 years   ? and looking for advice on how much it’s worth. It’s immaculate, hasn’t obviously had an MOT for 12 years. It belonged to my friend’s dad who has recently passed away. He was bike mad and treasured all his bikes so I know it’s been well looked after. 

Any suggestions as to how much it might be worth?

I'm not 100% sure, but if your interested in selling it to a loving home, send me a message. I've been looking for an ultra low milage bike.....

Likely 3k (or sub) if not ready to ride, maybe more if doesn't need recommissioning (battery, tyres, lines, callipers, seals, oil etc)
Where are you?
Sorry to hear about your friends Dad, I'm sure he enjoyed his bikes.
But a lesson to us all, in that we can't take 'em with us, so ride now!

Hi. It’s having new tyres on next week and service and brake pads   But at 3k I won’t be selling it. Many thanks

Hi again Leeboy,
such a good 'un is worth keeping, so good decision.
My valuation is likely spot on for a private sale, the low mileage is the attraction.
But as you state, you're going replace tyres and brake pads.
Don't forget modern day suitable petrol lines that will be close to perishing, calliper seals too due to age, not just brake pads, carb rebuild with ethanol proof 'o' rings and gaskets, fork seals that'll likely burst from standing so long and I'm sure there will be more maintenance to occupy yourself with.
But do all those things and it'll give you a grin for the next 20 years too.
If you were hoping for a speculative  higher 'value' to sell on having 'bought it from your friends deceased fathers estate, then yes, if you're a dealer offering a guarantee etc, it's likely worth more on a show room floor'
But I assume, like me, you are a private individual and not a dealer.
The FZS1000 is a great value bike and prices have risen a 'little' this past year or so, but they're not in the realms of an appreciating classic.....yet......how big is your kitchen? Smile

I’ve got a big kitchen lol. I’ll be doing everything I can to get back to it best    I’ll get a garage to look it over for me and mot it.  I had it running and it sounds so nice. But thanks for your help ?

Stay with the members on this site, you'll get an awful lot of good advice and help.
My son at 32 has my 'old' 2004 FZS1000 and he's tried many more bikes when considering changing, but he's reluctant to change 'cos the FZS1000 is just so good!
