Thanks for the link unfortunately that one only has 6 wires the later version of the fazer has 7 wires.

If you are handy with electrics I am almost finished modifying the wiring diagram to convert the 7 wire ignition setup  to work with a 6 wire ignition.
It would mean  adding in a change over relay to get full functionality of hazard and parking lights in the locked position.

Oh, sorry, that's bad, especially as it's being sold and advertised to cover all years! I bet that's caught a few people out in the past.

I've just stripped my old Fazer.  I think I've kept the original lock set. I'm based in Bolton and my e-mail address is greenhalghco@btconnect.com

Did you get round to the 6 to 7 wire conversion? If so I would be really interested as mine has seen better days!

Yes, left it when no one voiced interest in it. Just need to proof it ensure the colour coding is correct and tidy it up a little. It is a one page diagram and will need to be used in conjunction with the wiring diagram for the Foxeye. I will try and have it sorted by the weekend.

Thank you. Not really bothered about the parking light feature (does anyone really use that?) but the hazard warning lights are a good thing.

Completed the diagram, 99% sure it will work. There are two options: 1. Hazards and parking on the park position or 2, Parking lights only in the Park position. Unfortunately is is not as simple to get the hazards instead of parking lights in the park position of the switch.

Be aware, I have not tried this and attempt it at you own risk, is is purely from the wiring diagrams.  If your switch wires do not correspond to the colour codes on the diagram let me know and I can add it to the diagram. From pictures of the replacement switch the Brown Light blue in the diagram may be Brown only on the two wire plug.

Hi all, M&P are local to me and I bought he ignition barrel that they say covers the 20 and 03 Fazers, it is right that the one M&P sell is the 6 wire one and does not fit the 02/03 models and on returning the lock, I did mention this to them, a bit surprised they have not changed the listing.
