Fazer calliper dimensions
#1
Hello
I have a 1998 Yamaha Vmax (sorry, not a Fazer).
One of the 'upgrades' on the post 1991 Vmax is replacing the front brake callipers from a Yamaha R1 (commonly referred to as 'blue spot').

Both of these bikes have 298mm diameter front discs.

Now a bit of searching reveals that the front brake callipers on Fazer 600 and FZ1S appear to be identical (the 600 and 1000cc models).

I know it is a big ask but please can someone who has one of these models measure the dimensions in the diagram below.  Note that the 2 Fazer models have 298 mm and 320mm diameter brake discs respectively.

Not near my bike right now but this is worth a look if you've not spotted it already.

Thanks for that, I've not seen that thread but what I am gathering is R1, R6 and FZ1S seem to use the same calliper.

Naturally it would be great to have it confirmed for Fazer ones as the Fazer 600 are about £30 cheaper than R1, for seemingly the same thing.
