Ahh I can see what happened there. You've been looking at the new Brough motorbikes and he worked with a Brough (Peter) on 'Educating Archie' (for those not in the know, a ventriloquist act on the radio. Yes a ventriloquist on the radio :rolleyes ). That's where the confusion occured Wink . Obvious really :lol

Just got in , day started badly , the last 2 miles on the M42 took over an hour  Sad  , obstruction on slip way on jct 6 , nec junction ,car broke down in middle lane , traffic guys were there directing traffic around the obstruction when they should of pushed the thing to the side  :wall :wall :wall :wall :wall

Busy day today with the usual pushing and shoving and bad manners , but i did get to see everything  i wanted too , nortons were good but I would l go for the 961 , not to ride though , parked up in my sitting room  :thumbup

perfered the standard katana ROBBO , not much else on the suzuki stand that caught my eye though , apart from the x7 of course Wink

had a sit on the entry level 300 bmw , plesently surprised at the comfort and seating position , might have to take a closer look at this at local stealer

surprise "bike of the show " for me this year......fantic caballero 500cc , retro look for just over 6000......mmmmmmmm , nice

The Fantic looks pretty smart. 42HP apparently, which isn't bad if you compare it with the new UK spec Honda CRF450L. That's only something like about 24 'ish :eek . Barely any different to the 250L.

It's not a 125, it's a GT250 X7. It's a twin. Your GP125 was a single. I had the GP100.

Ahh I see - you had the slow one. Heres mine, I saved up my wages from when I was 16 to 17 -17 being the age which you could ride a 125 back then.
MY buy list was an
RD 125 / KH 125/ GP125 as they were the fastest 2nd hand bikes in my price range at the time - in that order

Yeah. Also it was in desperate need of a rebore & o/s piston. I used to run it with the carb cover removed because drawing air through the filter assembly zapped all the power :lol .

No I've worked it out. I was looking at the new BMW GS1250, and I thought the 'GS' stood for 'Galton and Simpson'  Wink
