Scuffed someone's bumper...

Yesterday, whilst rolling my bike back, I managed to misjudge my position and put a scuff on someone's bumper

Fortunately (-ish) it was someone I knew and since it was only a slight scratch, I offered to buy them a repair kit to deal with it.

There are lots of options out there, although some are for reparing breaks, which I don't need, so can anyone recommend something cheap and easy?

Hi fella, There's a lot of stuff on the market but you won't get cheaper much than t cut and lots of elbow grease :thumbup

Having asked around various places and given the fairly superficial nature of the scratch, it looks like wet-and-dry and some touch up paint will do the job.

Has it broken through the clear coat?  If not you should be able to get away with polishing it out.

The gauge is whether you can run your fingernail over the "blemish" and you feel a ridge (through the lacquer/paint finish = more work), or its still flat (in which case it'll polish and buff out).

Sorry did you say rolling your bike back? Dread to imagine what damage you'd be capable of, if you found 1st gear !!  :lol

Yes, I'm going to get some filler, wet-and-dry and a can of touch-up paint which should sort it.

dont know if there is a chips away in your area,but they are good but i assume you have weighed up the odds i personally wouldnt trust myself
to do a job i didnt know on someones banger.

He's the sort of guy who prefers to do stuff himself anyway. I'm just supplying the stuff he needs
