Headlight coming on when I pull in the clutch
#1
Did a bit of a streetfighter project and removed front fairing, changed headlights, indicators and handlebars.

Now I have a problem that when the clutch is pulled in the headlight comes on.  Release clutch and headlight goes off.

I believe it might be a grounding issue but I'm not sure how to fix it.  At the moment I just leave low beam on all the time.

Any ideas?

You have a "pass-switch" on the back of the switches on the clutch side. I am guessing it has something to do with that.

my guess is you have somehow done something with the passing switch wiring (clutch operates high beam)
turn lights off

will the bike start in gear with the clutch in if yes try it with clutch out - if yes then your clutch switch wiring is going through something else
if no then its either not connected or is going through something that is swiched (flick some light switches to find out, including passing switch)
there is a wiring diagram in the downloads section with the full manual

dammit BBrown commented while i was reviewing some wiring diagrams lol

Well done fellas! The pass switch had shifted on the bars and was being pushed in by the clutch leaver. Fixed now

Could be worse. You could have bought the wrong wheel bearings and then left them on the shelf so long you can't remember who you bought them from :lol Not that I'd ever do that :lol
