I actually think teh MT-0 range are good Fazer successors. Maybe we should set up a sub-forum for them. :pokefun

Here we go again  :rolleyes  I have nothing (much  :lol ) against MT owners who previously were here because they had Fazers sticking around for the banter etc. But if I were an MT owner, I'd want a separate forum for those bikes.

Here ya go:

There seem to be others too. So no need for sub-forums here.
I'm not interested exclusively in Fazers when it comes to bikes, so I am a member of a non-type-specific bike forum too. What's the difficulty?

I dunno how people complain about the Fz1's weight anyway. It weighs 1kg less than my old 600 did ??

I tried an MT07  when I had my Versys 650 & I didn't think it was worth changing to the Yam. It was quicker & lighter but in the real world not a big enough reason to change . My 98 Fazer I find has a big fun factor about it , it's just a dam good all round bike, even good two up  Big Grin

Indeed, an IL4 compared to a parallel twin I would've thought would be very different in character. Another reason I don't think the MT series has a place here. The MT10 perhaps more so as a replacement for the FZ1, using a retuned version of an R1 engine, as have all the litre Fazers - but it still ain't a Fazer!

Unless your in the states then it's an fz10 and the others are fz09 and fz07 respectively ?

So they literally have an Fz6 - 07 - 8 - 09 and 10

That's certainly covering all bases haha

The Americans have never called their models Fazers though. Not even the FZS1000 gen 1, which was called FZ1. I used to have an FZ750, but that wasn't a Fazer either  Wink

Define better? I mean FZS 600 is a brilliant bike the IL4 engine is more fun then MT07 and MT09 because of the screaming sound, the carb smooth power delivery is definitely better then all MT range inlcuding MT10. And FZS600 has way more power 95hp vs 75hp for MT 700.

These are different bikes better for doing different things. To be honest I would never would have bought MT09 if there was FZS600 2017 model slightly lighter with the same engine and carb.

Think of it as MT 700 is Nissan Micra Estate, MT 09 is BMW M3 and FSZ600 is Lotus Elise  :lol
