Anyone used one of these?

I have a habit of leaving my indicators on so I was looking for an audible warning device. This looks quite trick. It's my birthday soon and the OH keeps asking what I want.

I've not used that product and never would at that price :eek  £46

I did fit one of these to a bike when I was younger

Basically the same thing as the muppets in the link are selling but only £3.

I agree the price is a bit steep, but some people piss that up the wall on a Saturday night, I don't. Some people run multiple bikes, I don't :rolleyes  It depends how you want to spend your money. To be fair the only similarity between this one and the 3 quid jobbie from Maplins is that they make a noise.

Or rather the only difference is the waterproof case to allow you to stick it on the brake reservoir. :pokefun

Just look on Ebay for Indicator Buzzer, they're about £8.

I've had one on my bike for a few years, 'cos people used to walk out into the road where i live without looking as i was about to turn into it, and my airhorn used to make them jump, then do a dance as to which way to move.

Only downside is that if you're in traffic waiting to turn then everyone looks at you, and it can be a tad annoying.

Does it come with the fluorescent jacket and L Plates as standard or are they an optional extra? ??

Could always just turn your indicators backwards so you could see when to turn them off.  :lol

Personally I started out riding so paranoid about leaving my indicators on, that it's now ingrained in me and I never forget.
I think my finger hovers over the button until it is cancelled. I even find myself in the habit of prodding the button every time I accelerate out of a turn. Yeah I'm a weirdo.

I considered fitting a buzzer when I was first riding, but think it would annoy me at junctions... or not as I usually wear earplugs. I think if I had to fit something, I'd go for an ultra bright LED, mounted high on the dash, or into the mirrors.

That would probably annoy you a lot as well in the dark, even more so with rain on your visor, although it would certainly make you wanna turn them off.

My Tiger has this. It was fitted before I got the bike. Not annoying but I still forget to turn them off sometimes.

Love the way people are slagging the device off without actually bothering to read how it functions.
Yes, it’s more expensive than a crude buzzer and as an electronics engineer I could make something similar for a fraction of the parts cost, but to do so would take many hours work… certainly more than £50’s worth.
If you want something to remind you to turn off your indicators when you’ve forgotten to, then I don’t reckon it’s bad value.

Thank you so much Fazerider :kiss  Someone who's actually taken the time to read about the thing and what it does. Yes it's more expensive than the 3 quid Maplins buzzer but some things cost more cos they're better. Why aren't we all riding around on Chinese 125s in £25 helmets if cost is the ONLY consideration when we buy something?

Hmmm, Chinese 125's and £25 lids are certainly debatable, but in fairness we're talking about a posh buzzer.
Each to their own, i ain't knocking it at all, and it looks like a great product, and if you really feel like you need it then spend away.
My cheap jobbie wasn't for my benefit so much, but to avoid  scaring the bejasus out of carefree pedestrians with the airhorn.

But, i would compare it to a really expensive pen.
Does the same job as a betting shop pen, just costs more!

I wasn't slagging it off. I was just stating that the BASIC function of it can be had for a lot less money. Each to their own though, that's why some people buy Rolls Royces instead of Audi's.

I'm with you on this, they're a pair of muppets. The self aggrandising blurb on their website makes me want to vomit.
