Hello Paul. Welcome to the forum. Like you, I have recently bought a 2003 FZS 600 and really like it.
May well 'bump' into you as I only live in the Wrexham area. Enjoy your new machine in this incredibly mild weather we are having.

Hi Paul,
Welcome to the snake pit.
There are a lot of guys on here that know a lot about Fazers and are always willing to offer advice and sometimes practical help.
Oh! by the way I'm not one of them cos I know very little and my skill level would be classed as entry by most peoples standards. It is also a good place to source spares.
But there is a plethora of knowledge on this forum.
Great choice of bike I myself have a 2003 Foxeye FZS 600, surprisingly light on its toes, great 4 pot lump that is always willing to please.
My understanding is it is a de-tuned Thundercat engine, mid rangy with a lot of torque, and, provided its is serviced regularly 125,000 -150,000 miles is not uncommon, mine is on 38,000 and pulls like a train.
But I do have the super fast Silver one, there are some on here that would have you believe that its just in primer and has never really been finished, but I believe that to be just sour grapes on their part.

Hi guys thanks for the welcome and just been out on the fazer for about 2 hours really love it so easy to ride and handle compared to the Bird I had I think I am going to realy like this bike
thanks well it had to be red as its my fav colour and of course the fastest, bestest colour, I have now painted the down pipes Black as they were looking old stained and discoloured
so to save a lot of time and money trying to polish them back up I thought black was the easy option, and they look fine now
