Which Tyres
#1
Hi all.

My 57 plate FZ6 is due set of rubber.
I currently have BT023`s on it but I`m thinking of trying something else. Probably something more sporty!

Can anyone recommend anything.
The only thing I don`t want is something which I`ll shred in 3000miles .

Thanks.

I've just upgraded my front from the BT023 to the T30 which seems a very nice tyre.

I can't comment on the wear yet, but the reports I've seen seem to be very positive.

I have just replaced my rear with a T30 , so far so good . I have a Pr3 on the front, I wasn't impressed with the wear on the rear Pr3 ,  seemed to wear quickly towards the end .

T30 rear, BT023 front, works well for me.

pilot road 2's are best value and work really well. pilot 3's have mixed reviews, pilot 4's are the best of the bunch but cost a bit more :'( I've got pilot 2's and love them.
If it's broken, it's not fixed.

I go through at least 2 rears and a front each year. Pr3 and pr4 seem very similar for miles and grip.  I am going to try the new dunlop roadsmart 3's next as they seem to be getting decent reviews.

Metzler sportec M7rr is a very good alternative.

Thanks for the reply's.

I`ve been looking at the Metzler Sportec M7rr, They seem to have good reviews. Would you say they were more grippy than the BT023's

I'm not too bothered about wet performance or anything too touring biased as I don't commute on the bike or use it in the wet.

I have not used the 023s on my bikes, but any of those I rode with them felt fine but I found the turn in of the M7 faster (which I prefer) and the M7s really inspire confidence and have great feel. I have also been pleasantly surprised by the wear levels of the rear over the M5

Has anyone used either of these?

Pirelli Diablo Rosso2,
Bridgestone S20,
Bridgestone T30

Thanks... Smile

3 of us have previously said we've used the T30.  :lol
