panic braking on a bend - cycle version
#1
Panic breaking on a cycle. The same as motorcycle. The bike straigthens and goes wide. You hit exactly what you are trying to avoid. Not cool not to call an ambulance for the poor kid. The bike was going rather fast:

When cornering I always hit the rear brake first then the front only if it's needed  :eek , I do the same on the push bike.

:lol  I wish I was! Must admit I've over-egged-the-cake taking a bend on more than one occasion. :o  Mid bend braking not to be recommended.

Surely someone has taught you that you do not use the rear brake first - easiest way to crash when wanting to slow down.

Basics of riding safely seem to be missing !
