Handguards for FZ1S
#1
Anyone got handguards fitted to their FZ1S?
If so what you got and do they keep any of the wind off?

Got some Barkbusters Storm handguards.  They keep the wind & rain off and combined with heated grips they make winter riding tolerable without having to resort to massively thick gloves.
I rode over to my brothers this afternoon, about 22 miles, and they didn't save me from "hot aches" in my fingers when I thawed out!

A guy at one of our suppliers rides all year and says the only way to keep hands functioning in the depths of winter are bar muffs
I ride an enduro bike in the winter with heated grips and the hand guards are only good for keeping branches etc off controls they do nothing for me by way of protecting hands from cold

I borrowed some handlebar muffs a few years ago to try but I just cannot get on with them, they just feel weird to me even though I know they are really the best option.

I've tried handlebar muffs in the past  but found them a bit awkward and they tend to get a bit "wayward" at speed. I suppose you could always but a bag over the handguards for the same effect.

Trouble with muffs is you cant wear decent gloves. That was what I found anyway.
