Thinking of moving on from my fazer to something a little different. To be honest the riding position doesn't suit me that well and despite it being a nice reliable bike, I'd like to try something new. It's done 36,000 and is in what I would call good condition bar a few scuffs and the usual wear and tear. Will post some pics later today. Looking for £1200 Ono or a swap for something else of a similar engine size.
GOOD
36,854 miles (may go up a bit as I'm using it every so often)
10 months MOT left
original silver paint
black belly pan fitted last year
rear hugger fitted last year
full stainless downpipes fitted last year
new delkavic exhaust fitted a few months ago
headlights modded so both light up on low beam
virtually brand new front and rear Continental conti motion tyres with probably a couple of hundred miles on both
carbs recently balanced
oil and all filters changed 4 months ago
all brake pads replaced about 6 months ago
valve clearance checked last month and all ok within limits
+1 tooth on the front sprocket for (in my opinion) a nicer ride
chain and rear sprocket in good nick and regularly oiled
no major rust/corrosion anywhere
NOT SO GOOD
various small scuffs/scrapes etc, the worst being on the rear fairing and a small ding on the exhaust which I've covered with an alpinestars sticker.
very small crack on rear hugger
small crack on front fairing by headlight
it's 15 years old, so don't expect a shiny new bike!
I don't ride it that much apart from the odd blast and a few trips to work every so often, and it's garaged all the time so is in pretty good nick for a 15 year old bike. It's obviously been looked after by the previous owners too.
pics to follow when it stops raining
