A suggestion:
Cotswold and Salibury Plain Ride
Fancy it? I might look to alter the western leg a bit, as not sure at this stage that it's the best option, but I would try not to increase the mileage by much.
Ive messaged slim about this one

Said no one about you ever...
At Cheltenham could we not look at the b4632 over to the A44?
Seems a shame to be so close to 'fish hill' and not include it!

We could. I've just got back from checking most of it, and it took me 5 3/4 hours. A couple of extra stops to check the map, and a bit of rush hour traffic in that. I would think that an extension to Fish Hill would add at least 1/2 hour, maybe more, plus I didn't do the complete loop starting from Eynsham. Anyone coming from east of London might find it a bit of a trawl if we start adding too much more. I still need to adjust the western leg a bit, as the route I did around Chippenham to Devizes wasn't great.
Generally, a very nice route. Starts with a bit of dual carriageway to get to Burford, but the Charlbury bit is very tight and technical. The first half of the route swoops up and down and round on the Cotswold hills. Salisbury Plain bit is quite fast, and the A338 has a couple of nice twisty sections. I think you'll all enjoy it!
It's all in your capable hands sir!

The only thing about doing Fish Hill is, I'd planned to do this loop anti-clockwise, which would mean going downhill on that bit. That means you're on the brakes for much of it, not as much fun as powering up the hill, but maybe even more difficult - need to keep your speed in check!
If i do this it'll be circa 600 miles by the time i get home.
Would i get honourary LOFO status?.......ill need plenty fuel in the form of burgers.
All pinned on nice weather & slim being kind........are they even possible :lol
Be nice to see some of England on the bike, i wouldnt do it otherwise but having folks that know the way & can talk the lingo will be good......innit!

The Wales day spin is off that Sunday then ?
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

Well I was hoping to confirm this one for sure or not before updating the Wales thread but I think that's gonna be the case as it didn't look like there was much interest in the Wales trip Grayo and on the basis it might have just been me and you.....if you weren't able to make it....it'd just be me :'(
now I can blag a Wales trip the day before on my way up and then do an Englander trip....followed by another wales trip home 8)
not sure if slim is coming yet but im thinking I can get B&B somewhere close the night before
Are you up for it Greyo?
only a matter of time before im chucked off this thread actually.....taking up bandwidth as usual

This doesn't exactly seem to be the most popular idea for a LOFOs ride ever. Is it just that people aren't available for that date?

it's because ive joined in :lol.......and hijacked the thread as usual :hijack
on a serious note thought it's only because I need more time to plan it I cant just decide on the day, im determined to do something good that weekend whether it be wales or England.

Hello Nick, there's a few things stopping me from committing atm.
First and foremost is work, unsure of shifts yet.
Then it's the two hour, 120 mile ride just to get there, all boring motorways
And lastly the most western leg of the ride takes me so close to my Dads in Hereford it would be a big temptation for me to peel off, say hello to my Dad and poke my little brother in the eyeball.
Haven't totally discounted it as yet as I know other Foccers will be doing huge mileages, just need to wait nearer the time.
Nick,
I'm OK for this one its about time we went somewhere other than SE, NE or S of London
