talktalk is blocking what I like?

talktalk is stopping me getting to certain sites, as though the "childsafe" is turned on which it isn't, I have even turned it on and then allowed the sites I want to visit but still blocked.
HELP what can I do??????????????????

are you sure its not sites that are blocked to the uk in accordance with the digital economy act? (i.e. torrent sites etc?)

don't know what torrent sites are?  the sites blocked are POF and ***tube both of which I was on yesterday?

It's just talktalk being foccin stupid, I was with them for a year, a year I'll never get back, they provided for my hard earned money..... poor service, crap customer relations etc etc would never recommend them to anyone and they had the foccin cheek to ask if I'd like to comment on their service that they screwed me for,  I'll tell you, I didn't miss the target when I got that offer, funny though, never heard from then since, don't know why, after all, it was such a glowing report I gave them as you can imagine

What message do you get when you try these sites? Have you tried a different device or laptop? There are lots of ways to filter sites, do you live with a partner that could be blocking then from you?

Or use a proxy They are less common these days it seems, but are still around - transmission speeds I would expect to be atrocious though

All back to normal this morning, must have been a fault at their end?
thanks for all the advice, except Skippernick's lol. I agree with what sinto says about Talktalk's service but they are cheap and you get what you pay for.

I've been with talk talk for 6 years and can't complain,  I get blistering speeds and have never had an issue with them + they are cheap as chips.

Are we talking internet here or mobile? Just been dumped onto talk talk by virgin who couldn't be arsed with broadband users anymore. Heard bad things about talk talk but not had to deal with them yet. Internet speeds are about the same at the moment

Whatever you do --- dont use the phone helpline as it is useless as it is in india and they know fook all and can do almost nothing. The very best thing to do is join the talk forum and a MOD who works for talktalk will pick up your problem after a few days - as they work from the oldest first, in the meantime you will get responses from other members SOME of which will be helpful.
Talktalk almost never admit to a problem their end, you may find via google loads of people with the same issue - yet talktalk remain quiet.
Even if you have a known talktalk problem taltalk will always start off on the assumption that the issue is at your end and untill you have exhausted all permutations of router/cable/extentions/wifi on - off/laptop/pc/phone, they will not entertain an engineer visit and even then you have to agree to a possible charge if no fault is found.
I went through months of this and even ended up smashing a monitor as they insit that your pc is connected directly to the master socket  when it was vulnerable and got knocked. I knew it was not a problem in my house and yet still had to go through the routine --- and sure enough it was a crappy connection in the cabinet up the street.
Yes I am still with them cause I cant be arsed to go through the same crap with another company, also there will be payments still taken when I leave and saying I still owe them and I willl have to go through a load of shit getting it back.
