Hope there is someone out there who has fitted a fuel exhaust can either oval or round. I'd like to fit one but need to know if they interfere with any panniers that are fitted. The panniers I have fit ok with the standard exhaust can but Fuel couldn't tell me whether their can is higher/angled differently than the standard can. They also said that they would only accept a return of goods if it hadn't been fitted so i can't get one & return it if it fouls the pannier. Not particularly helpful.........
Anyone got one of these cans fitted to a gen1 fzs1000 with a pannier set?
Nope but i have Delkevic can and that's shorter than the standard can and fits fine with my panniers, most aftermarket cans will be shorter than stock and SHOULD be ok......
Thanks for all the responses guys - appreciate it.
This is for PEASY. I've measured the pannier DEPTH from the passenger grab rail downwards and I need 11" clearance from the top of the can for it to fit ok- do you have that clearance between top of the can to the passenger grab rail point? if so it's game on! Thanks.

Who has a degree in measurement or summit :rolleyes
Although my measurements aren't good enough for you from the highest point of my Fuel can to the bottom of the grab rail is 11.5", so you'll have at least half an inch or more depending on whether you measured from the bottom of the rail or the top.
No problem. I've been pleased with my Fuel can, I got it when they had an Easter Sale a few years back. It's not obnoxiously loud with the baffle out like some cans, you can ride around at low revs without people noticing and when you start opening up the loud handle it sounds pretty good. Build quality is spot on, you get a lifetime warranty and a bar of Kendle mint cake (at least I did), and I prefer a riveted badge over an etched tag (like the Beowulf cans), for the price I don't think you can ask for more.
