New member, new Fazer 8
#1
Hi all Fazer 8 fans. I am a new member, so Hi there.  I am located in Lincolnshire but originally come from North Wales.

Not joking but over the last 30 odd years I have just about owned and tried every bike going, but I never really found my holy grail of do it all bike.  I have just decided that race reps were getting boring ( and my old body hated them) and I have never been into tourers or even sports tourers.  But I liked the look of the Fazer 8 so decided to go to my local dealer and get a demo ride.  Instantly I knew I'd found my perfect bike, balanced, powerful enough for me, smooth and comfortable.  So I went out and looked for the colour I wanted deep down since my early Yam two stroke days.

Here it is: 2013 pre registered Brand spanking new.  Smile  Zero miles.  Well 12 on it right now. Fitted a R&G tail tidy only.  Exhaust was part of the deal.  Also came with standard exhaust.

Welcome onboard Andy.

I have to admit that the anniversary colour scheme looks great. Its just a shame they brought it out approx 3 months after I bought my black one!

Anyway, enjoy your bike ...... cheers

Not only did I take a look, I tested one for 4 hours.  Feels like an over powered trail bike to me.  I just don't like the look of them nor the riding stance.  But each to their own.

I prefer a more substantial normal looking bike.  :evil  I love me new FZ8 too.  It rides totally different to my fazer 8.

be interesting to see which one you ride more over the summer..

I love my FZ8 with the mods I have done and it turns me into a bit of a lunatic when I ride it  :evil but it's such good fun..

Cant wait to get the PCIII fitted and mapped....  :eek

Love that anniversary colour scheme..  very nostalgic but  jeeps up with the times too. Now that it's been a while, I'd also like to know which one you prefer riding...?

Well I actually like riding my Fazer 8 due to the wind protection it has, but I prefer the FZ8 to go to my local bike meets and small run outs.  A bit of a hooligan in me comes out.  The FZ8 also seems to handle better for me but both are great now I have replaced the rear shock for adjustable FZ1 items.  I also have a 2007 zx6r road bike that I use for trackdays and fast spins.  Big Grin

Thanks for the response. You have a nice set of bikes there, and they look great side by side like that.
