wanted: fzs 600 petrol tank bolt

need the front bolt for a 98 fzs 600 tank, mine fell out a long time ago and my badly fitting replacement fell out today.


found one site but the postage is 11 euros!

Those tank bolts are mush, every time a bike topples over it melts the thread on the bolt, just use whatever bolt you've got lying around that's the same diameter.

I cant see anyone having that particular bolt just hanging around that they'll then go and post.

get yourself into the downloads section and trawl through the 600 manual until you find out the exact size of bolt and then go on fleabay and buy 10 of them for a quid happy days lovely jubbly jobs a good'n  Smile

i have a pot of 100000 bolts and i cant find one that actually fits lol, its like 11.38473mm anything bigger wont fit anything smaller falls out...


might just weld it... nah i joke ill keep trying

fazerspares are bound to have one....says they have lots of stock of nuts and bolts, could be worth dropping them a line.....ive got lots of bolts stripped off my 600 plus ive got the frame, if I get the chance ill check a few in the frame.

Type into Google  NUT AND BOLT SUPPLIER, (Other search engines are available)
Pick one near you
Take said bolt to them
Show them said bolt
Make a contribution to their biscuit fund
Receive replacement bolt
Fit replacement bolt

Well then the thread is knackered so putting in a replacement is kind redundant. either drill and tap it the next size up, Helicoil it, or what I did on mine drill the thread out and put a rubber top-hat nut in.
