Over the last couple of months I have had all four ABS sensor wires on my van damaged due to the feccers chewing the cables. Bad enough but not as bad as this.
Yesterday I went to use the Mrs car and saw the low brake fluid warning so waited till she got home with some fluid to refil the totally empty resovoir and check for where it must be leaking from. Found a feccin hole chewed in the flexi-hose at the back.Arrhhh.
Today, the Mrs leaves for work in my car and comes back 5 mins later saying the brakes don't feel right. Have a look. No fluid and a hole chewed through one of the front pipes!!!!!!!
Sent the Mrs out with a note to drop off to the neighbours to warn them of the problem and discover that three of them, didn't speak to them all, (out of about 12) have had similar issues in recent months.
All the cars have been damaged whilst parked outside on the road.
Now the question.
How can I legally kill the fuckers?????
Garden is too small to deploy my favoured hot lead injection method and apparently its illegal to poison them. My dogs keep them out of my garden too.

We've got urban foxes too and alas my garden is to small for me to shoot them. Do you know a local farmer? You could trap them then deliver them to the farmer for special 12 bore style treatment........
or, I know it's illegal to poison them, but just say you accidentally left a chicken carcass laced with something a bit poisonous by your car...... (only problem is local cats becoming collateral in that case)
Don't get in pest control, we got a quote and it was silly money. Plus once you kill the foccer another one comes in to take it's place, but hopefully you'll only need to kill the one that's learnt to eat brake lines.
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys beer, and that helps!
Feck me - I've never heard of foxes doing that before. Would of thought the brake fluid would kill them.
Had a quick look round and found this linky - the taup is a pain, radio would probably work but a ball ached & you'd probably drive over it, so looks like the Scoot stuff. Linky on the right of the page to Scoot and other ideas.
Good luck BB.

Choose number 7 and then go for a little drive......

Nightfury. That seems like an option and is much cheaper than the quote I have just had for someone else to do it.
£150 a week for the cage followed by £150 a time for each fox it traps.

Then they release them around the corner out of your sight so they get caught again tomorrow! The foxes are probably on their payroll.
That is a stupid price to pay. As it is a common occurrence down your road, maybe the local council should be involved?

The local council say it is not down to them and the legislation doesn't allow it to be. Bollocks is what I say. The damage is occurring on the public highway.
Getting the local media to have a sniff at it now. Its already cost me £300 in ABS sensors. Will cost me another £50 for the Mrs car today and fec know what to get my Santa Fe done by the main dealer.

Could you not find a way to poison the sensor wires/ hoses ?? At least that way there's no collateral and only the brainy little fellers will kick the bucket.
Just flapping about on this stagnant little pond on the outer rim of the internet.....yup.... :-))
Can you run some mains electricity out there? A nice chewable live cable suspended above an earthed metal plate should do the trick.

It's a good job the fox didn't bite through a coolant hose that anti-freeze is very poisonous, most of it has a bittering compound in it because people were leaving it about and cats were drinking it?
