Not sure about the fazer1000 but it's a Dodd to do...
Remove rear wheel, easy Remove rear shock, easy Grease bearings Refit and torque up shock bolts Align wheel and set chain tension, easy Id say 1 hour job I'll post torque of needed and chain settings

I would also be keen to know the answer to this as my shock is shocking!!! and needs replacing before I take the wife out on it

I looked into it and yes it can be done is the short answer,
But the longer answer is yes it can be done with getting and moving of things, off the top of my head coolant header tank needs moving, part of the adjustment ring needs grinding away to stop it fouling and the spring needs changing out for a stiffer spring. There is info about doing it around the forum, and on the older yuku boards too.

go for an R6 shock from Kebab. Several of us were fitting these and came up with slight improvements each time, Kebab has taken the best of the various options and put it together as a ready to fit solution at a very fair price.
