fuel tank pressure
#1
Right I have fixed my bike since that lovely tractor pulled out on me :eek me

But now it the fuel tank seems to get lots I mean lots of pressure in it and even the fuel gauge Goes through the roof and if I open my tank air and petrol flies out  :'(

So of course in the accident the bike was on its side but not for long and it was driven home I haven't had to have the tank off so the breather pipes haven't been touched for me to kink them ,

Any gurus here with the answer  :rolleyes

Thanks in advance

P.s it's a 99 boxeye if that makes a blind bit of difference and the bike seems to be running fine

It has to be a blockage in the breather system, it can't really be anything else?
Maybe in the fuel cap itself if you don't think it's a pipe.

How does the bike run though Mark?....

Maybe while you're down there have a look at your air filter, take it out and make sure it isn't covered in fuel.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

bike runs sweet as a nut mate can't fault it strange thing was after a while on a little run out the fuel gauge went through The roof and after a few miles went back to normal strange one I will pull it apart and take a look
