I know the brackets themselves are different but is the mounting point that is welded to the front of the bike the same?

Yes, the frame mounting point at the front is the same. The little brackets on the side of the frame top rails that support the back of the fairing are different. I have fitted a foxeye fairing to a boxeye model so that is how I know.

Cheers Limax, appreciate the help.

Im selling my headlight strapped to a box eye bracket to someone and at the last minute i noticed that he had a fox eye and was worried it wouldn't mount to his bike.

Thanks again
