Reccomend me a tail fairing
#1
Christ, I'm turning into another Noggy!!  :lol :lol

As you all know, Project Fazer needs a redesigned backside (when it comes to bikes, I'm an arse man. Because they look the tits.  Wink ).  So far, I've been look for the old R1 tail fairings, but not having much success. A few other designs that have caught my eye have been the R6, the Duc 916 and the Yam FZR400. All completely different, all could look really cool with the underseat zorsts.

Any other ideas? Any links to cheap bits for me? I don't really want to pay more than about £50 for the plastics.

Cheers!

Seriously, Dazza?

I was looking at the FZ6 tail, but I reckon something squarer would fit my bike better. Plus, mine's going to be a single seater, so I'd quite like the stepped sort of look you get on the super sportsters

Ducati 996 seat. Thoughts?

Probably the best rear tails possible to have with underseat exhausts really!

That said, you muck up an iconic tail by making a rat's ass out of the job and I WILL come up there  :lol

Got one you can sell me?

Sorry, Northwestern, but the 916 fairings look good and are surprisingly cheap on ebay.

Got anything you can flog me? Has your bro got a spare YZF750 fairing he could part with?

He may have the standard one but don't think that would be easy to fit...

It's either a standard YZF 750, and an angle grinder, or I use the 916 fairing. Wink

Right, down to 2 now (kinda).

I can go for an R1 fairing (the 00/01 model), and then could go normal USS style (under the fairing), or CBR600RR style - so the brake, tail, etc lights are beneath the exhaust.

Or I go cliché, and go Ducati 916 - or even Cagiva Mito125, as they're similar - but I'm worried about the width issues.

Help?

Ducati 999 tail ? - not the obvious Ducati choice, but might suit the Fazer lines better than the more rounded 916 unit.

Hmm, bit different...

The question is: do you have one?  :lol Ebay is being a bastard for (lack of) parts, let alone sensible prices! I'll still looking, peeps!  Smile

I think I'll go 916, Geordi Sussex has it on his bike, and it's beaut.

Also, the 600 has a "stepped" subframe - perfect IMO for the underseat exhaust and the 916's stepped tail. I could mod an FZR fairing, I suppose, but again, can't find one.
