south east dealer
#1
Just bought a FZ6 Fazer and would like to continue with dealer servicing for the stamp I think. It's a 2006 model and has all stamps. I guess the only real benefit is for resale price?
Are any London or South East dealers better than others?
Had a falling out with Paul Reeks so that's out.
Moores of Hemel is my closest..

Worth a try perhaps, but when I worked there they wouldn't work on anything older than 5 years unless the bike was bought from them - this was so that they could prioritise their own customers, as they got plenty of bookings despite that.

Moore's are very expensive, but as it's only them and the Suzuki dealers in Chesham in the area they can overcharge.

The car works in Berkhamsted have recently moved to northbridge road and now do motorbikes!

Depends where you are really. A 2006 bike wont really be worth any more with the dealer stamps than without now and the money you spend on getting the stamps will definitely be more than any additional value vs. doing it yourself. If you do it yourself, just write in the book and keep the receipts for oil etc. A bundle of receipts to me is worth more than a dealer stamp as it shows what you have done rather than got the dealer to wipe an oily rag round the engine.

If you need a dealer to do it for warranty reasons or your not confident enough to do it yourself, any dealer will do, just tell them to use Yamaha bits if its under warranty. I would recommend T Northeast (Horley) if you are in the Gatwick area but not P&H (Crawley).
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

I've been using Paul and Andy at Waltham Cross Motorcycles (2010) LTD for many years without an ounce of greif (Paul and Andy bought the business in 2010 and the service standard has gone up 1000% and both really know there onions when it comes to Yamaha's (Paul used to work at woodford I believe!) There a great bunch of guys, always helpful and full of good honest advice. Give em a bell on 01992 625173. If it's a dealer I need for my Fazer, I wont go anywhere else, I'd be mad too.

:lol Guess what? I used to work there too  :rollin

About 2005 to 2008, unfortunately when John Lock was still the owner. Andy virtually ran the business on a day to day basis even then though - Locky tended to hold him back a bit. +1 on Andy being a sterling fella. His dad, Mick, who worked in the workshop was a great laugh too, wonder how he's doing? Paul I never really knew that well, but seemed ok. Say hi to all from me  :lol (young Dan still work there, and Carol in the office?).

Hmmm, Waltham Cross then maybe, still a 50 mile round trip from Rickmansworth.
Considering the age, maybe just get someone more local then?
