Shorter Levers
#1
Hi All

Can I pick your brains again please?

I'm looking to replace my clutch lever as the reach is just a bit to long for my shortish fingers and the clutch bites when the lever is right out. There doesn't seem to be an adjuster like there is on the brake leaver. Does anyone know the best lever to buy for a 2002 fox eye fzs 600. Can you by them individually or are they only sold in pairs? I've attached a pic of my current clutch lever if this helps.

Thanks

I got some off ebay from China - the quality is amazing and I opted for the fast postage ( which cost no more!) and they arrived in a week which is quicker than some stuff from the south of England.

Take a look at the below link - in my opinion they are as good as my pals Titax levers which cost a lotmore

they look similar - wow you must have small hands if they are too far away on the lowest setting - I don't know what to suggest

Yes the same ones, I think theres a thread on here with the links, I don't normaly have issues reaching the clutch on Yams so I thought my lever was bent, ordered a new one and it was the same so I got these of the bay of evilness.

+1 recommendation on these, I still need to order my set but got shorty brake from T'cat on atm, (clutch is different lever!) it does help if you're already used to 2 finger braking and clutching, if not they help you learn!

I have the same issue with dwarf digits and I ordered a silver pair off Ebay. Good quality and the adjustment is good too. They only seem to be sold as shortys though, which I discovered I do not like - in heavy traffic I 4 finger clutch and as I'm a londoner thats most of the time. So I'll be selling them and be getting myself a Titax or similar clutch lever.

Are these levers a straight swap ? Any fitting issues ? I think I read a thread somewhere on this forum that suggested a slight modification was needed with some shorty leversĀ  :\
Yamaha Fazer 'the only bike you'll ever need' maybe ???

Mine fitted straight on, I think you need to be carful with the clutch one as there is a small switch in the clutch housing that needs to line up with a hole in the clutch lever.
If you order the Chinese ones TNT try to stuff you for import tax so make sure they are marked as a gift.
TNT sent me a bill, I put in in the bin as I paid the seller and had the goods so foc off TNTĀ  :lol :lol :lol
