BOLTS - B*ggered if I can remember

Showing my age here, but I did the STAR rider training when I was a young fresh faced yoof. They had a mnemonic(?) for pre-ride checks but I'm jiggered if I can remember what 'T' stood for. Anyone remember that far back ?

B - Brakes
O - Oil & Fuel
L - Lights
T - Tyres & Wheels?
S - Steering

Yes, you've got it.

Check to see if they are round, that they go round. Check tread for nails: Spokes etc. Infact anything to do with Tyres and wheels  :lol

That's been extended further now:

P - Petrol
O - Oil
W - Water
D - Damage/ Drive (chain)
E - Electrics (lights)
R - Rubber (tyres)/ Reflectors (mirrors)
S - Suspension/ Stopping (Brakes)

I've also seen another version: POWDERY where the Y is "You" ie that you're wearing all the right gear.
