Well just looking for some ideas,
I just weighed up the Misano circuit, 2 days trip there, 600 miles each day , 1,120 miles
And first stay at Nancy, France, probably both ways.
Anyone been along this route or to Misano?
Billy.
I know its only the internet but they are real people ! ain't they?
try and go over french alps, through col d'iseran, pick up motorway then into Italy. Stunning ride.
300 miles a day is doable if u put some motorway in the mix, as alps are only maybe 30mph overall. But do make for a great trip.
600 miles each day? :eek Thats no holiday!
If you want to do big miles fast put your bike on the overnight train to Nice.
600 miles a day is serious miles, the most you can do in France now is about 80mph, factor in fuel, food, pee stops and if you average 50 you will be doing well. Like Mr Pitt says, 300 a day is plenty otherwise you will be asleep during the race and need a holiday when you get back.
Unless you are a distance hard man and used to it, in which case ignore us soft shandy drinking Poofters :pokefun
I do partly agree about the miles etc being hard work , but as needs must, we like adventures and these distances are fine for us,
It is not a scenic trip as such ,just a zoom down, its all about what time we have, and so far have really enjoyed the trips to Aragon,,2 days and Barcelona two days ,
I would like to take three days but its not possible for the others,,well not yet.
