Gutted for you, mate. But could be worse, you could have cracked your face instead of the fairing...

Bugger, at least your ok. The bill is a pain in the arse but better than a long stay in hospital or worse.

I dropped my 1200 bandit at 0 mph.......Badly broken leg, both bones, 4.5hrs op to insert a nail, 3months off work (6 grand out of pocket), broke brake lever, broke indicator, scuff on engine cover and "2x"2 scuff on fairing....Total=£6,385....I would say you were bloody lucky friend. I'm still off work but i still feel sorry for you as we all love our bikes. I sold my immaculate K3 1200 bandit and bought a nice little 600 Fazer......Result I guess.....

When some dozy woman drove into me a couple of weeks back I needed 6 stitches in my leg and couldn't walk for most of a week (it still hurts a lot now, over two weeks later), so not quite as bad as FatherBiker, but you were still lucky to come away relatively unscathed.  Good to hear you're ok though and that the bike's repairable.

Yes mate. I still to this day cant quite understand how the bike ended up on top of my leg. The day i bought her, i also dropped it.....embarrasingly enough in the guy's drive i bought it from!!...lol That time i got away with it. All i did that time was break the right indicator. I was beginning to think the fookin thing was possesed! :eek
