Kinlochleven bimble Saturday.
#1
Baloo and mesen have made the bold decision to actually try and ride our bikes for once.
Outlandish I know, but hey, that's the kinda guys we are.
Wink

So, the rough plan is head up to Kinlochleven on Saturday via Loch Lomond, mibbes a stop off at The Welly then go do some laps in the glorious sunshine.
Thinking on an 11 kick off.

Anyone else in?

we're actually thinking of doing some of the wee back roads between Inveraray and Oban this weekend, including Leacain Forest Drive (for a picnic) on Saturday, then staying in one of the Hostels in Oban on Sat night, then doing some more of the wee roads between Kilmelford and Taynuilt on Sunday.
If anyone fancies joining us for some of this that'd be cool - the forest drive is hard packed gravel and speeds are limited to 15-20mph anyway so doable on a road bike, the other ones are small single track, but the views will be immense, and there will deffo be no cops or much other traffic off the A roads.

Very tempted to say sign me up, especially with weather like this. I might have to get round to fitting my new front pads though, will keep an eye on the post though.

Where will you leave from? I am in West Lothian.

roadworks on the Rest and Be Thankful road due to the landslide - kinda spoils that run a little.

Only if they cleared up the roadworks since last Sunday m8. Traffic lights about half way up.

traffic lights have been on The Rest since last year at least, but the whole road was closed again a couple of weeks ago, then opened again according to the gantry signs which I've no reason to doubt. I haven't been up there since before the recent closure though.

anyway, back to the topic...

Looks like I might be in the garage on Saturday morning  :'(

I am getting a noise from front under braking and  know the pads are low so need to get them switched over, see what time I get them finished. If not it will have to be another time.

She did it again at Anniesland cross, she's booked in to Stevie's on Friday to get the pipes swapped on the water pump and a general Brierton going over.
