Hang off more.
You could also try an aftermarket set of footrests, these tend to be ally and angled at the end to give more clearance.
but the reason your grounding out is more down to your style than anything else. i know this because i have the same problem. yet i have seen other gen1 riders run rings round me because they have a diff riding style. ie they hang off more and or go in slower and out faster.
i have tried to hang off more but cant seem to get the confidence to do it but if you can it will solve your grounding issue.
I'll bet you're not running the standard can, mine goes down a degree or so after the footpegs and levers the back wheel off the ground (not recommended coming out of Clearways at Brands!)
Just cut the pegs in half

Either your a proper hero or, as Ghostbiker suggested, hang off more! Not to have a go at your riding style (cos I've never seen it!), but basing it on my experiences going out with my brother, who rides a lightly modified Blackbird. When we are going for it, his riding style tends towards just leaning the bike over, with the results being, wearing out the standard exhaust and part of the lower fairing and occasional sparks flying! Me, my style tends toward hanging off (I'm quite an energetic rider), throwing my body and weight over while attempting to keep the bike as upright as possible. The results are I, more often than not, carry more speed through the corners and if we come across a corner that tightens up, I have that extra lean of the bike to get me round, whereas my bro has nothing left in reserve and has to go wide! Incidentally, i haven't yet grounded my pegs, nor do I "get my knee down on every corner"! tho generally I do ride like I stole it. :lolĀ I hope this helps you a bit, of course if you are already hangin' off and still grinding your pegs, then I take my hat off to you:-)
Oh just a BTW, I ground pegs a lot with std pegs. And a little with affter market ones. But I then also ground the bellypan now and then if there is the slightest camber or I get enthusiastic LOL but have yet to touch down my blueflame exhaust.
But I don't hang off at all and lean with the bike. Hence no chicken strips to, yet I ain't that quick.
